| Jorie Raine Pless | I Might Forgive You | This is a slow ballad that uses sparse instrumentation, mostly guitar and drums with a touch of keyboards. This girl is saying that she might forgive her ex if he stays and apologizes, because she still loves him. That’s why you tell them to leave and never come back, because it's harder if you still have feelings for this guy. I like this song, I love this woman’s voice, it’s pretty, and it has body. The band focused on the singer and it turned out really well. Download this song now. | |

| Rally | Changes | "Changes" has "hit song" stamped all over it. This is first-rate alt-rock. The guitars move and I like the (British?) singers voice, because it works with the music. I like the lyrics, they discuss the merits of making positive changes. The chorus is good in an understated kinda way, nothing that would get tiring after a few spins. Download it now, because I said so. | |

| The Return | A Matter of Degrees | This is an upbeat radio-friendly song that I don't think much care for. The jangly guitar is good. For some reason this song reminds me of Fleetwood Mac. You can tell that the singer is putting a lot of feeling into this song. The lyrics tell a story that happens in real life, but it might sound better if a woman sang. I like the chorus, it's memorable but angry. He likes her, but she has no desire for him. Poor guy. I like the guitar solo 2/3's of the way through, and the piano is pretty, but overall the song is just too glossy for my tastes. | |

| Jimmy Richards | Volcanic Turkey Couch Maker | Oh oh. Somebody might want to re-think their songwriting strategy here. | |

| Rocket Ajax | Livin' In A Big Cage | This reminds me of those '80's Big Hair Bands. The guitar...oh my god...he's singing like Sting/Police, i.e. "Roxanne." The title's even '80-ish! geez oh petes! This is interesting. I like it, it just startled me at first. It really startled me. Now that I'm used to the song I like it. Download it if you love the Big Hair Bands. | |

| Rubber Clown Car | Boys Don't Lie | Yes they do!! I haven’t met a boy who hasn’t lied to me yet!! You lie!!! Just kidding. There are a few special ones who don’t lie. Why is there a guy singing this song??? I think a girl should be singing! Why do guys only stick up for themselves? Hmmm. I like this song. I’m sorry I’m ripping on the title so much. I hope you guys don’t mind. The guitar is good, but I think in order for the song to really work it should be a lot more upbeat and loud. I like it the way it is, but it needs more to it. The lyrics aren’t too bad, they are wrong though. Just joking. I am so sorry. This song is great and please download it if you truly believe "Boys Don’t Lie." | |
