Artist Song Review
The Fabulous Breaker Boys Spirit Rider Let me guess. This is an instrumental surf tune. Sweet. Always something different to review, never a problem. This one’s different, although I hear a bit of "Pipeline" influence. "Spirit Rider" isn't too fast, and the heavily reverberated electric guitar sounds spooky. Oh no, my brother is dancing again! Sometimes that’s not a good thing, but this time it was. This song might benefit from a punchier electric guitar. That would be about it. I like this song, so download it when you can, you shouldn’t ignore it!

Father Time Miss Wills' Frustration This song doesn't really appeal to me.  The singers' voice doesn't fit well with the music.  I also think the drums should go faster, be a little more complicated.   The guitar solos were good.  The song isn't bad, it just needs a few more things to fix it up.  #1:  Work harder with the intonation.  Make the singer match the instruments.  #2:  Even if you are just starting out, you need to do harder solos and rhythms.  That type of stuff appeals to me more, I'm more apt to listen to a song with more guitar and a different drum beat that is less used.  Good job guys, I'm sorry to pick on you, the song just didn't appeal.

Father Time Rock for the Sake of Rock By Clem Davis

My fellow critic, Caitlin, took a pounding from Father Time for her review of his song, "Miss Will's Frustration."  I decided to check out FT for myself just to see what he's all about.  Interestingly, "Rock For the Sake of Rock" is in the Hip-Hop genre, supposedly as an attempt to flip the bird at fans of Hip-Hop.  I found this song to be a inventive yet sloppy miss-mash of rhythm and style.  FT sings (in a high Ray Davies voice) about "No guitars in the land of milk and honey," as he explains that "Once upon a time there was this thing called rock," as if he is the savior off rock and roll music. Huh.  What about the other bands in this review column?  Aren't they doing their part?  I listened to this song over and over and it never grew on me, but I appreciate the effort.

Flat Cat Hit the Gravel Cool. This is good, funky rock. I like the old-style keyboards. The singer has a good, soulful voice - it fits the song perfectly. I've "hit the gravel" many many times, and I know what it feels like, but, so does the singer!! I like this song, it's good and everything fits in perfectly. Download it today!!!

FrastedFlake Unnatural Nature Cool beginning. Sounds like a radio wave, and the synths fit perfectly! The drums sound like plastic trash cans, awesome use of household items! There are many different rhythms, switching at all times. This is a great instrumental piece, I really like it. It's very unique, and that is a very important thing to be. I like the mad scientist in the middle! So neat. Download right away!
