Ray Greiche - Everything's Fine

Ray Greiche

Review by Doug Cornell

Have you missed Mike Nesmith?  Look no further, as New Jersey's Ray Greiche has somehow captured the essence of the stocking-capped Monkee's vocal style.  Acoustic guitar strumming propels "Everything's Fine," a pleasant folk rocker that echoes simpler times.  Greiche's clear voice has a touch of melancholy and country twang, and the chorus's harmonies are very easy on the ears.

"Trying To Get To Know You Again" is a folk-rocker that moves along at a nice clip, featuring solid slabs of electric guitar and a steady beat.  It's easy to imagine a coffee-house crowd setting down their drinks to pay attention to this invigorating, upbeat track.

Greiche doesn't break any new ground here.  He is solidly planted within the folk-rock style, and will certainly please fans of the genre.
